Our residents are at the center of everything we do at The Helier, and we’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant to assist our Head Chef and Sous Chef with day-to-day operations of the kitchen. You will gain experience in our busy and fast paced kitchen. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, not afraid of hard work and is extremely reliable. Previous experience with food preparation will be an advantage, but not essential. You will be responsible for washingdishes, ensuring the kitchen is kept immaculate and stock control. It is necessary you have: Passion and proven experience in delivering high standard customer service. Level 3 National Certificate in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) High integrity, honest and reliable. Teamwork and great interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for: Assisting in maintaining the daily operations of the kitchen – preparation, cooking, stock management, health, and safety) Knowledge of the menu and staying up to date with any changes and events. Ensure the necessary stock is on hand at the right quality and quantity. Following all set standards in the kitchen. Safety leadership, considering the health and safety of procedures and activities Providing dedicated customer care with our residents.
