Job Description
We arelooking for a reliable and safety-focused Utility Worker to join our team. Thisis a hands-on, outdoor role supporting the delivery of utility andinfrastructure services. You’ll work as part of a crew carrying out sitepreparation, labouring, and installation work while ensuring all safety,quality, and environmental standards are met. Key Responsibilities: -Carry outsite preparation, hazard identification, and set up safe work areas in linewith Safe Work Practices -Performgeneral utility and labouring duties including trenching, digging, lifting, andequipment installation -Identifyunderground services and obstructions prior to excavation -Ensure alltools, equipment, and PPE are available, compliant, and fit for purpose -Maintain astrong focus on health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance at alltimes -Workeffectively as part of a team to meet operational, regulatory, and customerrequirements - Reporthazards, incidents, and near misses promptly and accurately - Representthe company professionally when interacting with customers and the public About You: -Experiencein labouring or utility work (preferred) -Comfortablewith heavy lifting, digging, trenching, and manual tasks -Ability toread and understand plans and obstruction drawings -Enjoyworking outdoors in all conditions -Reliable,punctual, and safety-conscious -Class 4,Class 5, and WTR endorsements are an advantage -Excellentsafety record -Goodverbal and written communication skills About us: Northpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangārei andKaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers.
