New Zealand Performance Academy Aotearoa Wellington Mathematics Teacher 2027 - Senior School (Years 11-13) Full time, Permanent Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Mathematics and statistics We are a senior secondary school / academy combining high-performance sport pathways, academic excellence,hauoraand cultural identity. Our aim is to support holistic development and helprangatahisucceed academically,athleticallyand personally. The role We are seeking an energetic and innovative maths teacher specialising in statistics and calculus to lead our senior science teaching (NCEA Levels 2 and 3)and alsodeliver Year 11 maths. Whereappropriate, learning will be delivered through a sport lens, integrating scientific understanding with performance, human biology,biomechanicsand wellbeing. The successful candidate will design and deliver rigorous and engaging maths programmes that connect to sport,healthand real-life application. Ability to teach statistics and calculus at senior level is a benefit and will strengthen an application. All combinations of maths skills mentioned above will be considered. We are looking for A fully registered teacher with a current NZ Teaching Council practising certificate. Proven ability to teach senior statistics/calculus at NCEA Level 2/3 and Year 11 mathematics. Passion for an educational environment that values academic achievement, performance,wellbeingand identity. An innovative,adaptableand flexible teacher comfortable working in a new and evolving school environment. A collaborative and student-centred teacher committed to mentoring rangatahi balancing sport and study commitments.
