Shop Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate for a shop assistant's role in our liquor shop located in Thames. It is a Full-time role working minimum 30 hours per week.

Job location: Thames, Waikato

Essential Requirements:

  Liquor License or Manager's Certificate is mandatory

\n
• \n

  0 - 6 months work experience OR

\n
• \n

  High School qualification

\n
• \n

  Able to work long and flexible hours including weekends, early morning and late night shifts

\n
• \n

  Fit and able to lift heavy weight, we need people who are committed and turn up to work without a reasonable excuse.

\n

You will be required to perform as per below:

Position Duties::

\n
• · Open and close the shop.
\n
• · Cash up end-of-day tills.
\n
• · Serve customers and advise them on product usage.
\n
• · Check and process inwards goods within 24 hours.
\n
• · Ensure proper merchandising and organise product displays.
\n
• · Relieve the Store Manager as required.
\n
• · Assist with organising stocktake.
\n
• · Ensure stock rotation.
\n
• · Process all returns in a timely manner.
\n
• · Ensure promotional products are in store before promotions begin.
\n
• · Assist with setting up promotions, marketing and advertising material, and store specials.
\n
• · Assess material handling, equipment, and manual labour needs for loading, unloading, moving, or storing materials.
\n
• · Assist with general business planning and attend management team meetings.
\n
• · Identify opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimise new material consumption and waste.
\n
• · Maintain Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times.
\n
• · Ensure cleanliness in store.
\n
• · Ensure on-time delivery of goods to customers.
\n

We will provide all the necesary training. We need people who are committed and turn up to work on time unless they have a reasonable excuse.
