The Royal New Zealand Ballet is acompany of dynamic dancers from diverse backgrounds and presents a repertoireof classic and contemporary works across Aotearoa New Zealand andinternationally.

Day to day you’ll be responsible for:\n
    \n
  • Creating lighting designsfor small scale tours and venues as well as special events (marketing,festivals and education) as required by RNZB.
  • \n
  • Operating lighting fortours, venues as well as special events.
  • \n
  • Identifying and recommendingtechnology that would be useful to the Company and that RNZB maintains itsstanding as an industry leader in live performance.
  • \n
  • Working with Lighting Designers,Technical Director and Production manager to prepare paperwork forLighting including equipment lists, cable plans lighting plans, truckpack, cue sheets etc.
  • \n
  • Rigging, focusing and plottingthe lighting at each venue.
  • \n
  • Being part of the technicalteam that packs in and packs out the production at each venue.
  • \n
  • Healthand Safety / First Aid in the workshop and on the road as required.
  • \n
  • PATtesting all electrical equipment as required across the Company.
  • \n
  • Maintainingall RNZB Lighting, Video and Sound equipment, keeping RNZB at the forefront oftechnology and an industry leader.
  • \n
Who and what are we looking for?\n
    \n
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • \n
  • ETC console knowledge and use preferred.
  • \n
  • Vectorworks or similar CAD software use essential.
  • \n
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • \n
  • Work autonomously and within a team.
  • \n
