Job Description
About the role As a Technology Business Partner in NZiT, you will be responsible for the ownership, performance and continuous improvement of enterprise applications within PwC New Zealand, while acting as the primary technology relationship manager for assigned Lines of Service. This role operates as both a Service Owner and business partner, ensuring applications are stable, secure and aligned to business needs, while also supporting the adoption of global and local technology changes. The role acts as a key interface between the business, PwC Global IT and NZiT, balancing business‑as‑usual support with proactive service improvement and value realisation. Day‑to‑day responsibilities Act as Service Owner for assigned applications, working with vendor/PwC IT ensuring service health, stability and performance are maintained. Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support oversight for applications, ensuring effective triage, escalation and resolution of incidents. Coordinate major incidents and ensure timely restoration of service through collaboration with NZiT, Global IT and vendors. Act as the primary technology relationship manager for assigned Lines of Service, building strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders. Testing software as it is upgraded or introduced. Translate business requirements, pain points and opportunities into actionable technology outcomes and service improvements. Identify opportunities where technology can improve efficiency, reduce risk or enhance client delivery. Skills you will bring or develop A strong understanding of technology and how it can support better business outcomes. 5+ years in application or service management of enterprise SaaS and hybrid platforms. Demonstrated success delivering service improvement initiatives that drive measurable savings or customer experience uplift. Strong vendor management, contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities. ITILv4Foundation. Previous experience with applications support and understanding of the end‑to‑end client lifecycle in a professional services firm is desirable.
