Sheetmetal Trades Worker

We require 5 Sheetmetal Fabricator/Installers with experience in ducting

Sheet Metal Solution Limited is a fast-paced, established company that require staff who are experienced in fabricating, installing and fitting ducting on various sites across New Zealand.

We currently have 5 vacancies available for experienced Sheetmetal Trades Workers / HVAC duct installers to join our team in Auckland.

Your experience as a Sheetmetal Trades Worker / HVAC duct installer, pride in your work, and your ability to work both unsupervised and within a team are crucial.

No two days are alike – flexibility and a great attitude are essential as you will be involved in going a wide range of tasks and different jobs with some interesting projects on and off site.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience is required.

Work is Monday to Friday, a minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed.

Job Description:

Reading plans, drawing and specifications

Selecting metal stock, checking sizes, gauges and other dimensions of metal

Cutting metal stock using CNC programmed plasma cutter, power tools and hand tools as necessary

Shaping and forming cut metal stock into products using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses and hammers

Fitting and assembling components into final products by welding, riveting, soldering, brazing and joining

Finishing products by polishing, filing, grinding and cleaning

Repairing damaged sheetmetal products and components

Install a variety of ducting on-site

Current Site Safe, Mobile Elevated Work Platform and Height Safety certification would be an advantage.
