Job Description Lumino Shirley is seeking an experienced and dependable Dental Assistant to join our friendly team on a fixed-term contract , commencing by the end of August 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians in a modern, fast-paced practice, assisting with a wide range of dental procedures while helping to ensure every patient receives exceptional care and a positive experience. As a Dental Assistant, you'll play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice by: Providing chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures Preparing treatment rooms and equipment for patient appointments Supporting clinicians to ensure appointments run efficiently Maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control Delivering outstanding patient care and customer service You'll have the opportunity to assist with a diverse range of treatments, including: Dental implants Crowns and veneers Root canal treatments Cosmetic dentistry procedures Hours This fixed-term position is available on the following days: Monday: 7:45am - 6:00pm (30-minute lunch break) Tuesday: 7:45am - 6:00pm (30-minute lunch break) Wednesday: 7:45am - 6:00pm (30-minute lunch break) Friday: 7:45am - 4:30pm (30-minute lunch break) Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will bring: Previous Dental Assistant experience ( essential ) A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude The ability to work independently and use initiative when required Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking abilities The ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment A genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care Have valid NZ work rights and live locally Additional Information Why join Lumino Shirley?
