Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Science We are a high performing state-integrated Anglican school for 450 girls situated in the heart of Ōtepoti/Dunedin city. Applicants must be supportive of the school's Anglican Special Character. The successful candidate will teach science across Years 7–11, plus chemistry through to Year 13 and Scholarship level. They will be an exceptional classroom practitioner who is able to support and guide students, and be prepared to trial, fail and learn through inquiry into their own practice. We prefer candidates to have chemistry teaching experience/training, as well as experience with Year 7 and 8 science. Please state other senior specialist sciences in your application. The successful candidate will have experience in developing curriculum initiatives, have excellent knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum and future-focused pedagogies. Being responsive to the identified needs of our learners and adapting programmes to suit will be essential. Developing capabilities in students, and leading and supporting curriculum delivery and development within a high performing department, is critical to this role. You will be joining us at a truly exciting time as we redevelop our facilities: our new, state-of-the-art specialist science laboratories will be completed for the beginning of 2027. These modern, purpose-built spaces are being designed to inspire scientific inquiry, foster student engagement, and provide an exceptional, innovative environment for your teaching.
