Accountant

If you youre a grounded, detail-oriented accountant who finds meaning in work that matters, this could be the role for you. Openbook Solutions is a chartered accountancy firm specialising in the school and not-for-profit sectors. They looking for a Part Time Accountant to join their small, friendly team to assist the organisations they support to gain financial clarity and confidence. This is a varied, hands-on role. Day to day, youd be across monthly reporting, GST preparation, annual financial statements and Xero support. They are looking for someone with a positive attitude, who is a team player and has the ability to grasp new concepts quickly. Youll need to be organised and accurate, comfortable working independently, and confident in managing your own workload, while staying connected to a collaborative team. Youll ideally be at an intermediate level with a degree in the field (or be qualified by experience), and at least three years public practice experience. Exposure to school accounting is a bonus, and a genuine interest in the not-for-profit and education sectors will go a long way. This is a part time role, Tuesday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.30pm, based in Palmerston North.
