About the Role We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with a stronginterest in community-based practice. Previous community experience ispreferred, and experience in a rehabilitation setting would be highlyadvantageous. As a Community Occupational Therapist, you will bring thefollowing: Strong clinical reasoning skills anduse of evidence informed practice. Ability to work autonomously andcollaboratively within the inter-disciplinary team. Strong prioritisation skills andexperience with complex discharge planning. ComplexHousing and Level 1 Wheelchair and Seating accreditation would be advantageousbut are not essential. This is a Fixed Term, part-time role working 44 hours per fortnight(0.55 FTE), Monday to Friday between 8.00AM to 4.30PM. Please view the position description for furtherinformation. For more information on living and working in Nelson click here About you As a Community OccupationalTherapist, you will: Be a New Zealand registered OccupationalTherapist with a current practising certificate; Hold a current full driver's licence; Have excellent communication skills and theability to influence and motivate others; Be an enthusiastic, innovative, and supportiveteam member; Bring effective time management andorganisational skills; Provide clinical oversight and appropriatedelegation to kaiāwhina; Supervise and support Occupational Therapystudents through mentoring and training opportunities. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in NewZealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
