Graduate Research & Engineering Associate (6 Month Contract)

We're looking for a curious, motivated and technically minded graduate to join our Avondale based Research & Engineering team on a 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, helping to develop and optimise advanced printer systems and supporting infrastructure that will shape future manufacturing capabilities. What you’ll be doing Assemble, test, and refine advanced printer systems from kitset components Conduct experiments and analyse performance data to improve speed, reliability, and quality Design and build innovative post-processing stations to support the end-to-end production process Troubleshoot technical challenges and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and project leaders on a variety of R&D initiatives Contribute practical solutions that help bring new ideas from concept to reality About you We're looking for someone who enjoys getting hands-on, solving problems, and turning ideas into working solutions. Recently completed a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Strong practical building, assembly, and prototyping skills A passion for innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Experience using CAD software (this is desirable but not essential) Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment What's in it for you?
