Stores Assistant / Forklift Operator

The Stores Assistant plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of goods, and providing support for daily operations within the Warehouse. This role involves handling incoming and outgoing shipments, organising inventory, and assisting with various administrative tasks to support the overall efficiency of the department. We are looking for someone who is wanting to learn, understands warehousing systems and thrives being part of a team. This role will follow a 4 on 4 off pattern (day shifts only). Key responsibilities: Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and materials and verify that all items are accounted for and meet quality standards. Order Fulfilment: Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders and coordinate with other departments to fulfil special requests or urgent orders. Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and transfers and ensure all documentation is properly filed and accessible. Personal time management: Being able to work unsupervised and keep within timeframes to be able to achieve all tasks in a timely, safe manor. Machinery/Warehouse upskilling: Show a willingness to be upskilled on all aspects of Warehousing and all the machinery involved in doing these tasks. About you: Current OSH forklift certification with hands on operating experience Demonstrated experience in safety and quality disciplines Manufacturing experience (preferred) Experience with RF scanning warehouse systems Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask effectively Who are we?
