Requirements Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program at the University of Canterbury, such as Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management. Strong academic performance with a foundational understanding of engineering principles and construction practices. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with design tools is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and present ideas. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in all aspects of work. A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, with a positive attitude towards challenges. Nice to have Previous internship or work experience in the construction or engineering field is a plus. Knowledge of building codes and regulations relevant to the construction industry. Familiarity with project management software and tools. Experience in conducting research and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner. Interest in sustainable building practices and innovative construction technologies. Skills & tools Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and presentations. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana) to track project progress and tasks. Understanding of construction materials and methods, with an emphasis on modern building techniques. Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques to support research activities.
