Te Kura Toi Matihiko | School of Creative & Digital Arts Located in Ōtautahi | Christchurch, Aotearoa | New Zealand 5 weeks annual leave +5 days university holidays Generous superannuation provisions (up to 6.75% employer contribution) 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to consider 30 hours per week for the right candidate Āu Mahi | What You Will Do The School of Creative Arts & Digital Arts (CADA) seeks a motivated, professional and collaborative individual to provide administrative support to the staff and students within the schools’ Digital Screen Department, located on Dovedale Campus. The Bachelor of Digital Screen (Honours) is a 4 year degree offering students majors in Animation, Game Arts, Game Development, Cinematic Arts, Screenwriting and Screen Sound. Our unique location provides our students and academics with access to world-class facilities such as sound stages, a theatre and state of the art technology. In this fast-paced, varied role, the ideal candidate would be enthusiastic and friendly with a 'can do' attitude. Following process, multi-tasking, keeping accurate records and providing an organised and well executed service is vital to this role. You will ensure the provision of timely and efficient administrative services to stakeholders within the school and other departments as needed. The Administrator will support academics with activities related to course delivery, such as examination processes and timetabling. You will work within UC policies to manage essential finance and HR administration tasks and assist with Creative Arts events, seminars and functions, particularly those associated with film screenings, special guests and location hire. Mōu | Who You Are To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in an office administration or professional support role within a busy organisation and will bring: You will also be able to demonstrate experience in: 4 years minimum experience providing comprehensive administrative support while managing multiple processes, priorities and deadlines Experience coordinating events, exhibitions, or creative projects, with an ability to support planning and delivery activities. Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office applications, with confidence using digital tools to manage information and workflows. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain accurate electronic and paper-based filing systems. A self-motivated team player who can work independently, manage priorities, and contribute positively to a collaborative environment. Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain accuracy across a range of administrative tasks. Experience providing administration support in an educational environment, with tertiary sector experience preferred but not essential. The successful applicant will also require high-level organisational skills, including the ability to cope with competing demands, and the ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a team.
