Job Description

Job Overview Permanent full‑time (80 hours a fortnight) with no on‑call or weekend duties. Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality diagnostic imaging services across general radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI with angiography, and interventional radiology as required. Participate in service development and support junior medical staff. Team & Service Nelson Marlborough provides radiology services across Nelson and Wairau Hospitals, supporting a population of approximately 150,000 people. The department is equipped with two CT scanners, a 1.5T MRI, modern ultrasound and fluoroscopy units, and fully digital PACS and RIS systems. It is a highly collegial environment with close collaboration between radiologists, medical imaging technologists, and other healthcare professionals, playing a key role in both acute and elective care. Qualifications Hold Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, or equivalent. Have postgraduate fellowship training (preferred). Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate with a vocational scope of Radiology with the Medical Council of NewZealand. Bring medical expertise and unique skill set to an acute secondary care hospital and contribute to advanced care of acute patients in the region. Ability to work independently as a specialist in a provincial district. Work with others to promote a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines.
