Trustee - Treasurer

Youthline, managed by Volunteering Canterbury, is a volunteer‑led youth development organisation that has supported young people for over 50 years. Youthline Central South Island is seeking a treasurer for our trustboard to support the kaupapa of developing a community where young people are supported to achieve their potential. The board of nine includes three trustees who volunteer on the helpline; the remaining positions are held by professionals in their fields.

• Qualified and registered accountant required.

• Attend a monthly board meeting for approximately 1.5–2 hours, read and consider board papers.
\n
• Produce a brief monthly treasurer’s report.
\n
• Process fortnightly payroll for the two paid staff members.
\n
• Occasionally undertake tasks beyond the routine meetings as needed.
\n

• Qualified and registered accountant required.
\n
• Familiarity with Xero would be very helpful.
