Class 5 Driver

HR Powar Transport Ltd is looking for two full-time truck drivers for a Class 5 position. Shift work is required and you may be asked to drive Class 2 & 4 trucks. The applicant for the position of Truck Driver needs to hold NZ class 5 Drivers License or equivalent if overseas license. The driver should be able to drive manual truck.

Candidate should have at least 1 years relevant experience. We offer hourly wage rates from $32.00 to $35.00 depending on knowledge and experience. The company is based in Auckland, but we are looking for a candidate based in Taupo as the driver shift swap location will be Taupo

Shift 1: Starts 1:30am 12hour shift

Shift 2: Starts 1:30pm 12 hour shift

The positions are full time permanent with minimum of 30 hours per week.

Job Requirements:

Have a good work ethic, ready to go the extra mile

Be a team player, also works well individually

Flexible with working days & times

Have great customer service/communication skills

Have no criminal conviction and willing to do regular drug testing when required

Be punctual, reliable, a can-do attitude and a willingness to get the job done.

Job duties:

Ensure that vehicle has current COF and RUC is up to date.

Ensure accurate deliveries are made without damage and within the delivery timeframe.

The applicant needs to be medically fit for the job

Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely

Complete all paperwork and file them including log books and proof of delivery and handed to the company.

Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times.

Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight

Experience in swing lift is desirable
