Civil Project Manager - Renewable Energy

As our New Zealand portfolio continues to grow, we're seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of the civil works package for a major utility-scale renewable energy project located north of Auckland. This is an opportunity for an experienced civil leader who enjoys solving complex construction challenges, making informed decisions in dynamic environments and working with a high-performing project team to deliver technically challenging infrastructure projects safely, efficiently and successfully. The Role Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of the civil delivery strategy, planning and performance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring outstanding outcomes across safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives. Working closely with the Civil Superintendent, who will manage day-to-day site activities, subcontractor coordination and construction execution, you will provide overall leadership, direction and coordination to ensure the civil works package is delivered successfully and aligned with project goals. Key Responsibilities Include Lead the successful delivery of the civil works package, ensuring safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved. Provide leadership and coordination across engineering, construction, commercial and project teams. Partner with the Civil Superintendent to support effective site execution and delivery outcomes. Identify risks, resolve complex construction challenges and implement practical solutions to maintain project momentum. Manage project performance through forecasting, reporting, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives. About You We're looking for an experienced Civil Project Manager with a strong track record delivering complex civil infrastructure projects within New Zealand. You will be a proactive and solutions-focused leader who thrives in challenging project environments. You will have the ability to assess situations quickly, make sound decisions and adapt your approach when faced with technical challenges, changing priorities or alternative delivery solutions. You enjoy working collaboratively with construction teams, engineers, subcontractors and stakeholders to develop practical solutions and achieve successful project outcomes. You Will Also Bring Proven experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects in New Zealand, with strong knowledge of New Zealand construction practices, contracts and regulatory requirements. Strong leadership, stakeholder management and commercial capability, with the ability to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes across programme, cost and performance objectives. A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to make timely decisions and identify practical ways to overcome challenges. Experience in renewable energy, transmission, utilities or other major infrastructure projects will be highly regarded but is not essential. Why Join INTEC Energy Solutions?
