Customer Service

Hynds is looking for a Customer Service team member to join our branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll be the friendly face our customers rely on - providing expert product advice, keeping the branch and yard running smoothly, and making sure every interaction meets the Hynds standard. Key Responsibilities Provide sales and product support for all branch customers, resolving queries with expert advice Complete administration tasks including invoicing, inventory receipting, credits, and daily banking Become a product expert - master the features and benefits of our range to deliver real solutions Maintain suitable stock levels and take part in stocktakes, cycle counts, and stock adjustments Load and unload trucks safely, and assist with customer deliveries Operate a forklift to move product around the site (or willingness to be trained) Keep the branch, yard, and work areas clean, tidy, and safe using 5S methodology Follow credit control procedures and keep dockets accurate and correctly filed What You'll Bring Fluency in Mandarin and English - to support our Mandarin‑speaking customer base Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, can‑do attitude Strong attention to detail and accuracy across orders and administration A genuine team player who communicates well and pitches in where needed The ability to handle pressure and juggle multiple tasks during busy periods Practical understanding of health and safety practices Ability to physically handle and move products up to 20kg Full NZ driver licence (Class 1) with F endorsement preferred Forklift experience/certification an advantage, or willingness to be trained Benefits Health insurance (subject to eligibility criteria) Access to company partner discounts Employee Assistance Programme Who We Are Since 1973, Hynds has been New Zealand's leading supplier for water and water‑based waste management across civil and rural infrastructure.
