Mō te tūranga | About the role This is more than an information management role—it's an opportunity to lead a capable team, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and help shape how Council manages one of its most valuable assets: information. You'll lead by example, empower your team to succeed, and work collaboratively across Council to ensure our information is managed safely, accurately, and in line with legislative requirements. Your Responsibilities Will Include Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing Information Team. Creating a positive, collaborative team culture. Supporting continuous improvement and embracing opportunities for innovation. Overseeing information governance, records management and compliance. Building strong relationships across Council to deliver excellent internal service. Tō Kōrero | About You You're an approachable and engaging leader who enjoys bringing people together and helping others succeed. You communicate openly, build trust quickly, and lead with authenticity, positivity and accountability. You'll Bring Proven experience successfully leading, motivating and developing teams. A collaborative leadership style and the ability to build strong working relationships. Energy, initiative and a genuine passion for continuous improvement. The confidence to lead change and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes. Sound knowledge of information or records management, or the ability to quickly develop expertise in this area. A commitment to excellent customer service and delivering positive outcomes.
