Tauranga City Council is growing and changing, and our Digital Services team plays a key role in supporting the systems, tools and technology that help our people deliver great outcomes for the community. We’re looking for an experienced Digital Project Manager to join our Digital Solutions Delivery team. In this role, you’ll lead the delivery of digital and transformation projects from planning through to implementation, working closely with stakeholders, technical teams, vendors and business leaders to keep things moving, connected and on track. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, building strong relationships, and guiding projects through change in a way that supports both people and outcomes. What you’ll be doing You’ll be responsible for leading a range of digital projects and programmes, translating strategy and business needs into clear delivery plans and seeing them through to completion. leading end-to-end digital project delivery working closely with business leaders, technical teams and vendors managing project governance, reporting, risks and dependencies overseeing project commercial and financial management supporting change, adoption and transition to business as usual keeping stakeholders informed, engaged and aligned using the right delivery approach for the project, whether agile, waterfall or hybrid helping improve delivery practices across Digital Services You’ll also play an important role in supporting confidence around project delivery, providing clear updates and insights that enable good decision-making at the right time. Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed We’re looking for someone with strong digital project delivery experience, good judgement, and the ability to work well across a range of people, teams and priorities. You’ll bring: proven experience delivering ICT or digital projects strong stakeholder and vendor relationship skills confidence working with governance forums and senior leaders experience managing risks, dependencies and project reporting a practical understanding of agile, waterfall or hybrid delivery methods strong communication skills and the ability to bring people on the journey a relevant qualification or industry certification, such as PRINCE2, Scrum or similar Experience in business transformation, cloud, SaaS, automation or process improvement projects would be an advantage.
