Quality Assurance Labourer - Civil Construction

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Labourer to join our civil construction team. This role combines quality assurance responsibilities with general labouring duties across a range of civil infrastructure projects throughout Bay Of Plenty. The successful applicant will have a strong civil construction background, excellent attention to detail, and the flexibility to work both day and night shifts. This role will also require regular travel and staying away from home when working on projects in different regions. Key Responsibilities Carry out quality assurance checks and inspections across civil construction projects Complete and maintain accurate QA documentation and records Monitor work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards Support construction crews with general labouring duties as required Assist with site measurements, testing, and reporting Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture on site Work closely with supervisors and project teams to achieve quality project outcomes Skills & Experience Proven experience in the civil construction industry Qualification in Civil Construction is advantageous Previous experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Civil Labouring role is preferred Understanding of civil construction processes, specifications, and quality requirements Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Full New Zealand Driver Licence Requirements Availability to work both day and night shifts Willingness to travel and stay away from home for projects Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as well as a Ministry of Justice Check What's on Offer Competitive pay rates Ongoing work with a respected civil construction team Career development and training opportunities Variety of projects across Bay Of Plenty Travel and accommodation provided when working away, where applicable If you have a solid civil construction background, take pride in delivering quality work, and are open to travel and flexible shifts, we want to hear from you!
