Join us as a Senior Business Analyst Consultant We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst Consultant to join our permanent consulting team. Working across client organisations, you won’t just facilitate conversations—you’ll dive deep into the technical and operational details to solve complex business problems, map out future states, and architect solutions from early-stage discovery right through to delivery and implementation. In this role, you will: Navigate complexity: Take disjointed data, legacy systems, and ambiguous requirements, and distil them into clear, actionable technical and functional specifications. Bridge the gap: Act as the critical link between senior business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring nothing is lost in translation. Challenge and refine: Understand, translate, challenge, and refine stakeholder needs, ensuring solutions solve the root cause, not just the symptom. Drive delivery: Author high-quality user stories, well-defined acceptance criteria, and comprehensive process maps that development teams can actually build from. Collaborate and lead: Facilitate high-impact workshops, conversations, and decision-making processes across a variety of clients and industries. Who we're seeking A Passion for the craft: a genuine love for business analysis; it’s more than a job, it’s a technical discipline. Natural curiosity: a desire to uncover the "aha!" moments beneath layers of complex data. Adaptability: the ability to pivot smoothly when priorities, technical environments, or methodologies shift. Humility and wit: professionalism, curiosity, empathy, a strong sense of humour, and the confidence to challenge thinking constructively and respectfully. The experience we need Experience: at least 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with a background in consulting or a highly consultative environment. Technical requirement skills: comfort with requirements elicitation, data flow diagramming, system integrations, risk analysis, and writing rock-solid functional requirements. Public Sector savvy: proven experience navigating the public sector and AoG environments. Advanced process engineering: excellent capability in business process mapping (BPMN) and current state vs. future state gap analysis. Agile & traditional frameworks: deep experience working across a range of project delivery methodologies. Delivery-Obsessed: Demonstrated success creating flawless user stories and explicit definition‑of‑done acceptance criteria. Navigating ambiguity: Confidence presenting to, engaging with, and constructively challenging clients and stakeholders at all levels.
