The Metallurgical Clerk is responsible for supporting the metallurgical and processing teams through the accurate collection, management and reporting of operational and metallurgical data. Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, this role plays a critical part in maintaining data integrity across metallurgical accounting, laboratory results, production statistics and departmental reporting. The Metallurgical Clerk works closely with Processing Operations, Technical Services and external laboratory providers to ensure timely and accurate information is available to support operational decision making and business reporting requirements. This role is ideally suited to an organised and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with data, systems and reports in a dynamic mining environment. Job requirements Collect, compile and validate metallurgical, production and laboratory data from multiple sources. Maintain daily, weekly and monthly metallurgical reporting systems. Support metallurgical accounting processes through the accurate entry and verification of data. Assist with reconciliation of plant production, recovery and laboratory information. Prepare routine metallurgical and production reports for operational and management teams. Maintain databases, spreadsheets and reporting tools to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. Monitor laboratory sample tracking and ensure results are received and recorded in a timely manner. Assist with maintaining metallurgical records, operational logs and test work databases. Support the Senior Metallurgist with data preparation for investigations, trials and technical studies. Ensure all documentation is filed, stored and maintained in accordance with company requirements. Identify data anomalies or reporting discrepancies and elevate to relevant personnel. Assist with preparation of presentations, reports and technical documentation. Job responsibilities Experience in an administration, data management, laboratory, production reporting or clerical role. Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately. Sound numerical and analytical skills. Commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
