Management Accountant

They have a strong pipeline of work, and with the recent purchase of their new quarry in Napier, this is a great time to be joining their Hawkes Bay based team. Reporting to the Finance Manager and leading a small team of three, you will support the day to day transactional, reporting and strategic accounting functions. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for month end activities, budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX planning, as well as business partnering with managers across the operation. You will build strong relationships with leaders across the business, to help them understand and evaluate financial data and support them with commercial decision making. You will also support the quarry operations with production planning, demand forecasting and inventory management along with day-to-day accounting tasks. To be successful, ideally you will be CA or CPA qualified, or have a relevant tertiary qualification and be motivated to complete your CA studies. An affinity to the civil contracting or infrastructure industries, would be a real advantage, although not essential. You will be good at building strong relationships across operational teams, and in your element translating complex financial information into clear, useful insight for leaders across the business.
