Mō te tūnga | About the role\nAs People Leader, you will be the dedicated people leader for Technology Operations & Infrastructure, supporting the performance, wellbeing and development of technical specialists across the team. Acting as a key partner to the Manager, Technology Operations & Infrastructure, you'll help ensure the right people, skills and capability are in place to support Parliament's technology services today and into the future.
\nThis role focuses on people leadership rather than technical delivery. You'll lead performance and development conversations, workforce planning, recruitment, remuneration reviews and team engagement initiatives, while working closely with service managers, technical specialists and senior leaders to build a high-performing and customer-focused culture.
\nYou’ll play an important role in developing capability across the team, supporting career growth, identifying learning opportunities, and helping create an environment where people can do their best work. You’ll also contribute to resource planning and work alongside leaders across Parliament IT to ensure teams have the capacity and skills needed to deliver great outcomes.

\nYou’ll bring proven experience leading and developing people, with strong coaching skills and the confidence to balance empathy, support and accountability. You will understand what it takes to build high-performing teams, foster positive team cultures and support people through growth, change and development.
\nSuccess in this role will come from your emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships across a diverse stakeholder group. You’ll be comfortable navigating complexity, influencing outcomes and working independently while supporting leaders and teams to achieve shared goals.

Experience working with technology teams, outsourced service providers or large vendors would be advantageous, but deep technical expertise isn't required.

\nPlease note: The salary range for this position is $116,979 - $129,155 per annum, with the potential for the salary to exceed this range based on skills and experience.
