As a key member of the Digital Architecture team, the Senior Solutions Architect provides expert leadership in designing, assuring and guiding technology solutions that support the Port's digital initiatives and operational capability. You will translate business needs and strategic objectives into practical, scalable, secure and supportable solution architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles, technology standards and our Microsoft-based digital platform ecosystem. This role provides architecture leadership throughout the solution delivery lifecycle, balancing business outcomes, technical quality, cyber security, operational supportability and delivery pragmatism. You will also help evolve our Solution Architecture Strategy, solution domain roadmaps and enterprise integration patterns across APIs, messaging, event-driven and hybrid integration approaches. Key Responsibilities Provide solution architecture leadership across strategic digital initiatives and delivery programmes. Design practical, scalable, secure and supportable solution architectures aligned to enterprise standards. Establish, maintain and promote enterprise solution and integration architecture patterns. Define reusable approaches for APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture, data integration and hybrid connectivity. Provide architecture assurance throughout the delivery lifecycle, including solution design reviews and risk mitigation. Evaluate solution options and clearly communicate architectural recommendations, trade-offs and implications. Promote reuse of enterprise platforms, APIs, shared services and integration capabilities. Contribute to the evolution of solution architecture strategy, technology roadmaps and architecture governance. Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, cyber security, data, infrastructure, vendors and partners to deliver trusted outcomes. ABOUT YOU | Ko wai koe You are a collaborative and commercially aware technology leader who enjoys solving complex business challenges through well-designed technology solutions. You bring strong architecture expertise, a pragmatic delivery mindset, and the ability to influence stakeholders while balancing strategic objectives with operational realities. 5+ years' experience in solution architecture, technical leadership or enterprise technology roles, with 10 years' total experience in the Digital sector. Demonstrated experience defining enterprise solution architectures and enterprise integration architectures. Experience developing reusable integration patterns, API strategies and architecture standards. Experience contributing to architecture governance, solution strategy and assurance practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or a related discipline.
