Job Description
Are you a relationship builder with a passion for architecture, design, interiors, and great products? Do you love being out and about, meeting people, and helping bring beautiful spaces to life? If so, we'd love to hear from you. We're on the hunt for a Specification Consultant/Manager to join our team in Auckland. This is a role for someone who thrives on connection — building genuine, lasting relationships with architects, interior designers, and kitchen designers, and becoming their trusted go-to for product advice and specification support. What you'll be doing Build relationships that matter — connect with specifiers so you become their first call for product advice, samples, and support, and get invited into design practices for full product presentations. Spot the opportunities — use industry tools and your own networks to build a pipeline of upcoming projects worth targeting, and share information with the wider specification, sales, and supply chain teams. See specifications through — once a product is specified, you'll follow the project through to make sure it stays that way, keeping the right people in the loop along the way. Champion our brands — represent us at trade shows, networking events, and through specifier education, while helping source great imagery and case studies and keeping client libraries and samples fresh and front-of-mind. What you'll bring Experience in the interiors or construction sector, ideally with an architectural or design and sales focus A proven track record of success in a similar role Strong networks and contacts in the architectural/design/interiors industry A genuine understanding of what makes specifiers tick — and what they need to do their jobs well Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to connect at every level A great sense of humour and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and help the team succeed The self-motivation to manage your own time, priorities, and patch with confidence Resilience and tenacity – to secure the project and don’t take no for an answer! Why you'll love it here This is a role with real autonomy — you'll be trusted to manage your own diary, build your own networks, and make your mark on Auckland's design scene. You'll be backed by a supportive team of category managers, marketing specialists, and fellow specification consultants who genuinely enjoy working together and helping each other win. If you're energetic, curious, and ready to bring your design-world relationships to a brand that values them, we'd love to talk. #J-18808-Ljbffr
