We are seeking a qualified Diesel Fitter to carry out scheduled maintenance, repairs and installations across the Snowy River mine site. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will keep the fixed plant and ancillary equipment running reliably and safely. This is a hands-on role in a small, multi-skilled maintenance team at a new operation. It suits a practical, self-managing tradesperson who takes pride in their work, pitches in across the plant, and is happy to turn their hand to a wide range of tasks. Job requirements Conduct PM-generated inspections to a high standard and close out paperwork with informative history notes. Performance-test equipment before returning it to service to ensure safe, efficient operation. Carry out repairs and installations in consultation with OEMs where required. Job responsibilities A recognised mechanical trade qualification (fitting / mechanical). Experience in fixed plant maintenance, ideally in a mining or heavy industrial environment. A genuine commitment to working safely and looking out for your teammates. Ability to read and interpret drawings and work safely from procedures and permits. A practical, self -managing approach and the ability to prioritise your own workload.
