Job Description
This role plays a key function in delivering outstanding customer care as well as contributes to strengthening the construction team in the discharge of its duties and responsibilities.
\nMain tasks:
\n• All Residential Work - Renovations & New Builds
\n• To help on a variety of residential projects in Auckland and surrounding areas.
\n• You will be working alongside other Carpenters on various new builds, renovation, and retrofits on properties across Auckland and surrounding areas.
\n• This work will include all aspects of general and finishing carpentry on all residential sites.
\n• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
\n• Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users
\n• Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
\nResponsibilities:
\n• Able to construct, erect, install, renovate, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials.
\n• Renovation work improving living conditions of existing homes
\n• Variety of building works /demo and retrofit building
\n• Removing old walls, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, cladding
\n• Gib fixing and finishing work
\n• Customised carpentry works
\nJob requirements:
\n• Ability to work in a team or autonomously
\n• Valid site safe passport advantageous
\n• Own set of hand and power tools needed
\n• Ability to pass pre-employment drug & MOJ check
\nSkills and knowledge:
\n• Building and carpentry skills
\n• Knowledge of building methods and materials
\n• Able to study building plans and architectural drawings
\n• Select building materials and measure and cut materials to the right size and shape
\n• Able to construct building frames and install cladding on the inside and outside of buildings
\n• Install windows, staircases, and doors
\n• Renovate and do repair work on older houses.
\n• A basic level of maths
\n• Able to correctly use and maintain tools
\n• An understanding of building and safety regulations.
\nRemuneration: $29.66 per hour
Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday
\n 40 hours per week
