As we continue to strengthen our digital products and client experience, we're creating a new Senior Product Manager role to help shape future opportunities, improve customer value, and support our ambitions for growth and impact. This role offers broad scope and ownership, with the opportunity to shape product direction, influence decision‑making, and drive outcomes for clients and the organisation. You will be part of a small, close‑knit product team within Marketing. You’ll also draw on our wider collaborators, including delivery teams, subject matter experts and specialists, as needed to get things done. You’ll work closely with stakeholders both inside and outside the organisation. This includes clients, delivery partners, and teams across the business to bring ideas to life and keep improving the client experience. We're looking for someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. You’ll be comfortable taking broad direction and shaping it into a clear plan, using research, client insights and stakeholder to identify opportunities, build alignment, and turning ideas into tangible outcomes. Supported by a collaborative and purpose‑driven team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while sharing your expertise in an organisation committed to sustainability and innovation. This role is offered on a fixed‑term basis for 12 months and can be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch . Wherever you're based, you'll be working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the motu, so you're comfortable collaborating remotely as a matter of course. What We're Looking For We're seeking an experienced product leader who combines strong digital product management expertise with innovation, commercial thinking, and a deep understanding of customer needs. You’ll Bring Ideally 6 to 8+ years' experience in digital product management or senior product management roles. Experience owning specific product areas end-to-end, building the evidence, business case, and stakeholder support required to take ideas through to successful delivery. Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, innovation, and customer-centric product design. Experience working in fast-paced, agile, or evolving business environments. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation, and with people outside it. The ability to use customer insights, analytics, and market intelligence to inform product decisions and prioritisation. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision‑making skills. A pragmatic, action-oriented approach, with a track record of turning ideas into tangible products, improvements, and business results. A curious mindset with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering customer value. What Will Make You Stand Out A proven track record of successfully leading a digital product from idea through to market. You are able to take ownership of outcomes end-to-end, building alignment and driving progress across stakeholders, even where there is no direct reporting relationship or formal authority. Experience identifying product opportunities through customer discovery, market research, and competitor analysis. Strong commercial thinking and the ability to evaluate product viability and return on investment. Experience delivering complex product initiatives across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, delivery partners and technical specialists. A genuinely human-centred approach to product whether your background is enterprise, professional services, or consumer SaaS, you put the people using and relying on the product at the centre of every decision. Knowledge of emerging technologies, digital trends, and innovation practices. Experience working in purpose-led, membership, certification, or sustainability-focused organisations. Why Join Toitū?
