About the role Our MSK service provides exposure to an incredibly diverse caseload, allowing clinicians to develop skills across a wide range of presentations including: Complex musculoskeletal conditions Post-operative rehabilitation Vestibular physiotherapy Oncology rehabilitation Chronic pain management Amputee rehabilitation Neurological presentation You’ll work alongside experienced physiotherapists within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment while developing clinical reasoning and management skills for complex patients across the hospital system. Key responsibilities Assessment and treatment of complex outpatient presentations Delivering evidence-based, patient and whānau-centred physiotherapy care Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Supporting service improvement and innovation initiatives Promoting the role of physiotherapy across the organisation and wider community Contributing to the development of colleagues and physiotherapy services About you A minimum of two years' experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy within an outpatient setting Demonstrated advanced clinical assessment and management skills for complex musculoskeletal conditions, including chronic presentations Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills A proactive, self-motivated, and reliable approach to practice Experience facilitating interdisciplinary teamwork Working at Health New Zealand Full-time employment (40 hours per week) Ongoing opportunities to develop advanced physiotherapy skills A supportive and experienced team environment Regular professional supervision and mentoring In-house education, training, and professional development opportunities Opportunities to contribute to service development and innovation Employee wellbeing initiatives and staff benefits Closing Date: 19 August 2026 For general enquiries about the role, please contact: Esmari Oosthuizen Clinical Lead, Outpatient Physiotherapy Email: [email protected] For assistance with the application process, please contact: Lissa Crook Recruitment Consultant Email: [email protected] Job Number: WDHB21403 #J-18808-Ljbffr
