Rail Operator

Transdev Wellington is looking for reliable, motivated people with a strong safety focus to join our team. This is a hands-off role where you'll work in the rail yard, helping ensure trains and carriages are moved, inspected, and prepared safely for service. You'll support both Transdev EMU operations and KiwiRail locomotive services. What You'll Be Doing As a Rail Operator, you'll be involved in a range of operational tasks, including: Coupling and uncoupling trains and carriages Brake testing and shunting operations Preparing trains for service Following Rail Operating Code and Rules requirements Working safely in a safety-critical rail environment Supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the rail network To be successful, you will be someone who: Has a strong commitment to safety and doing the job right every time Is reliable, hardworking, and takes pride in their work Works well as part of a team and communicates clearly with others Is physically fit and confident working in a physically demanding outdoor environment Holds a full New Zealand driver's licence and has their own transport Why join us?
