This is a full-time (40 hrs per week) permanent role. The remuneration range is $99,788 - $119,204 per annum, dependent on skills and experience. He kōrero mōu | About you We’re looking for emerging academics who are passionate about teaching and research, and ready to take the next step in their academic career. Essential Requirements PhD in Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field An interest in biological data Demonstrated track record of publications in high-quality journals Ability to work independently across the full research and publication process Strong organisational skills Preferred Experience Experience lecturing in Statistics or Data Science Evidence of teaching excellence (e.g. student feedback, peer review, awards) Experience supervising or co-supervising postgraduate research Ability to secure or show potential for research funding Experience contributing to academic service and administration We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to advanced Applied Statistics teaching, including areas such as deep learning, large language models, experimental design, and time series, and who have an interest in biological data. The ability to conduct in-person and hybrid teaching in China is also advantageous.
