Our Lady of the Rosary School (Waiwhetu) Wellington Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2027, End Date: 15/12/2027 (Refreshment Leave) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts We have one fixed term fulltime position available in 2027 within our Year 0-4. The position has become available due to refreshment leave. This position is for a NZ-registered teacher who is current in their practice and is excited by the opportunity to work with a dedicated collaborative team in 2027. "The successful applicant has a willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school." We are looking for a passionate and committed kaiako who: Is a New Zealand registered teacher with successful classroom experience in Aotearoa New Zealand. Has strong knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, structured literacy, and effective numeracy practice. Believes every ākonga can achieve success and is committed to helping them reach their potential. Builds positive relationships with students, whānau, and colleagues. Delivers engaging, high-quality learning that inspires curiosity and accelerates progress. Demonstrates a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and values te ao Māori, creating an inclusive environment where every learner is valued with a strong sense of belonging. Is reflective, adaptable, and committed to ongoing professional growth. Thrives in a collaborative team and contributes positively to the culture of the kura. Is adaptable, resilient, and solutions-focused, approaching challenges with optimism and a willingness to embrace new opportunities. Brings warmth, enthusiasm, creativity, and a sense of humour to the classroom. Enjoys contributing to the wider life of the school through sporting, cultural, and extracurricular opportunities.
