Baker Wanted

We are looking for a baker for our busy Vietnamese restaurant in Christchurch (Bruce's Bahn Mi).
\n This is a full-time, permanent position. Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed (maximum 40 hours), hourly rate $27.50.
\n Working days/hours will be 5 days a week, between 7am to 3pm.
\n The successful applicant will demonstrate their proficiency in being able to prepare and bake authentic Vietnamese style breads including Banh Mi bread and the fillings/pate.

Looking for at least one year's relevant experience.
\n Responsibilities include:

\n
• Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
\n
• Baking authentic Vietnamese style bread types
\n
• Monitor and adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
\n
• Mix, cook and season various ingredients to prepare authentic Vietnamese fillings/pate
\n
• Help store excess food at the correct temperature
\n
• Help ensure food portions and food presentation meet our standards
\n
• Help monitor supplies and re-order stock as needed
\n
• Ensure cooking utensils are clean before each use
\n
• Clean and sanitise food preparation areas
\n
• Work with other kitchen staff to ensure food orders are completed in a timely manner
\n
• Help resolve problems with customers' orders efficiently
\n
• Follow food health and safety regulations
\n
