Job Description
Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Oaklands Te Kura o Ōwaka is seeking a passionate and experienced learning support coordinator to lead the coordination of learning support across our inclusive Years 1–8 school. Working collaboratively with SENCO, teachers, whānau, and external agencies, you will coordinate programmes and interventions that enable every learner to thrive. Key responsibilities include coordinating learning support, leading IEP processes, supporting funding applications, liaising with Ministry of Education services and specialists, monitoring student progress, and building staff capability in inclusive practice. We are looking for someone who: Is a registered New Zealand teacher with a current practising certificate. Has experience in learning support and inclusive education. Has excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills. Is knowledgeable about Ministry of Education learning support processes.
