Health Care Assistant - Resource Team - IOC - Whangarei Support our rural hospitals in Whangarei, Dargaville, Bay of Islands and Kaitaia 1x permanent part time position, working 32 hours per week rostered shifts (0.8FTE) Part time, no fixed hours (casual) Support patient safety and wellbeing in a hospital environment Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders. About the Role Work under the direction and delegation of a registered nurse (RN) to: Provide assistance to patients to meet their activities of daily living, comfort and safety needs Perform delegated patient care duties to enhance the satisfaction of the patient Housekeeping duties to provide a clean tidy and organised environment. As an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team, the HCA is not responsible for decision making in terms of patient care, planning, assessment, monitoring or evaluation of care. You will be required to work as part of a team across multiple departments at the hospital of your preference providing short term support.
