Field Service Technician | Agricultural & Heavy Equipment Hastings, Hawkes Bay Are you an experienced mechanic looking for a role that offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work with modern agricultural and heavy equipment? We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join a well-established machinery business servicing the South Canterbury region. This role combines workshop-based work with on-site support for customers, providing plenty of variety and exposure to advanced agricultural and construction equipment. About the Role As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of agricultural and heavy machinery. You'll work both independently and as part of a supportive service team, delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include: Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults Servicing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment Rebuilding and overhauling components to manufacturer specifications Using diagnostic software and onboard machine technology Completing service documentation accurately and efficiently Providing breakdown support both on-site and in the workshop Building strong relationships with customers Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship About You A Heavy Automotive, Diesel Mechanical, or equivalent trade qualification Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills At least 2 years' experience in a mechanical repair environment Experience working on agricultural, construction, earthmoving, or heavy transport equipment (preferred) Good computer and technology skills The ability to work independently and manage your workload A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards Excellent communication and customer service skills What's on Offer?
