Chinese Cuisine Chef

J & M Fastfood Takeaway is looking for a experienced full-time Chinese Cuisine Chef to join our progressive restaurant in Wellington.

2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification or a Bachelor qualification in any field.

1. Adaptable to change and able to multitask.
\n
2. Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime.
\n
3. Must be flexible to work late-night shifts and be able to manage two shifts in a day.
\n
4. Long-term commitment required.
\n

Key tasks & responsibilities:

\n
1. \n

   Planning and updating our menus.

\n
2. \n

   Estimating food and labour costs for our restaurant.

\n
3. \n

   Ordering food supplies regularly.

\n
4. \n

   Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.

\n
5. \n

   Discussing food preparation issues with manager, kitchen, and waiting staff.

\n
6. \n

   Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.

\n
7. \n

   Preparing and cooking food.

\n
8. \n

   Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.

\n
9. \n

   Selecting and training kitchen staff when required.

\n
10. \n

    May freeze and preserve foods.

\n
11. \n

    Any other duties that may be assigned by the owner
