We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Casual Catering Assistant to join our team and help deliver a great food experience to our customers. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll support the café team with food preparation, customer service, serving meals, stocking cabinets, operating the till, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. About the Role: As a Casual Catering Assistant, you will assist with: Food preparation and presentation Serving customers and providing excellent customer service Preparing sandwiches, wraps, salads, and cabinet food Assisting with meal service and café operations Operating the POS system and handling transactions Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards Cleaning and ensuring the café remains tidy and well-presented Supporting the team wherever needed What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who: Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic Enjoys working with people and providing great customer service Has a genuine interest in food and hospitality Is reliable, flexible, and willing to help where needed Communicates confidently and professionally Can work independently and as part of a team Previous hospitality or café experience is an advantage, but not essential Who we are: Cater Plus is one of New Zealand’s leading catering companies with over 750 team members nationwide.
