Senior Lecturer Digital Technology

Permanent Full-time role Our School of Digital Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Lecturer to teach a range of IT subjects at our Manukau Campus and contribute to programme and course development. Reporting to the Head of School – Digital Technologies, you will be a lateral thinker with a constructive, can-do approach to problem-solving. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and an approachable, supportive manner. You will take a holistic approach to teaching that includes mentoring and pastoral care and will have experience supporting diverse learners within a multicultural tertiary environment. Mōu te take - E unga ia te oe - About you: A postgraduate qualification in Information Technology or a related field; a doctoral qualification is preferred. A New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (CATT) or an equivalent recognised adult and tertiary teaching qualification. Demonstrated experience and success in teaching and assessing Information Technology courses within the New Zealand tertiary education sector. Demonstrated experience in programme and curriculum development in New Zealand at diploma and degree level, including programme and course design, assessment development and academic quality assurance. Expertise in one or more specialist areas of information technology. Priority will be given to applicants who can teach in one or more of the following areas: Networking, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Software and Web Development. A strong record of published research in a relevant field and evidence of ongoing engagement in research and scholarly activity. An understanding of contemporary, student-centred teaching practices and the ability to support learners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
