We are seeking an outstanding classroom teacher to join our fantastic Junior Team in a fixed-term capacity, covering a teacher on maternity leave. This position is in our Transition/New Entrant class. You will be responsible for creating a warm, joyful, and supportive environment that bridges the gap between Early Childhood Education and primary school, ensuring a smooth and happy transition for our newest tamariki and their whānau. Your week would be an assortment of roles, 0.5 classroom teaching, and 0.5 ORS teaching. Our ideal candidate will Have a deep understanding of the New Entrant transition process and a gentle, child-centred approach to learning. Excel at building strong, empathetic relationships with tamariki, their whānau, and local ECE providers. Be committed to our school vision of inclusion, equity, and celebrating the rich cultural capital that each child brings. Be a collaborative team player who thrives in a supportive, reflective teaching environment. Possess strong, positive behaviour management strategies that uphold the dignity of every child.
