Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: Date: 7 Aug 2026 Location: Green Island, OTA, NZ, 9054 Company: Orica About Orica About the role We are seeking a Team Leader - (MMU) to join our team supporting operations in Dunedin, South Island, New Zealandworking on a Monday to Friday roster that offers a great balance between meaningful work and time at home. An MMU, or Mobile Manufacturing Uni t, is a specialised vehicle used in surface mining and quarrying to manufacture, transport, and deliver bulk explosives directly into blast holes. In this hands‑on leadership role, you will lead the safe and efficient delivery of bulk explosive products while working closely with customer blast crews to support production targets and operational excellence. As a key member of the team, you will champion Orica's safety culture, provide technical expertise on explosive products and loading practices, and ensure the highest standards of service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction. What you will be doing Reporting to the Site Support Supervisor, you will: Lead the safe delivery and quality assurance of bulk explosive products to customers; Coordinate and oversee blast loading activities and blast clearance processes; Promote and uphold a strong safety culture, challenging unsafe behaviours and practices where required; Support magazine management and dangerous goods compliance; Undertake basic maintenance on MMU; Liaise closely with customer representatives regarding planned blasting activities; Provide leadership and guidance to operational crews while fostering a collaborative team environment. What you will bring Experience within mining, quarrying, explosives, or other heavy industrial environments; Proven leadership or people management experience; Strong knowledge of MMU operations and blast loading activities; Experience handling explosives and dangerous goods safely and compliantly; Strong understanding of risk management, quality assurance, and operational safety standards; Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills; Current and applicable driver's licence; What we offer As part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
