The Authority oversees and regulates the safety and quality of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater services across New Zealand. Job Description OurWater ServicesNorthteamis a critical operational functionresponsible forengaging with drinking water suppliersin theNorthIsland.We overseecompliancemonitoringarrangements andensuring effectiveworking relationships with our key stakeholders to enable broader outcomes. As aSeniorWater Services Officer(North)youwill Lead and manage responses to notifications and provide quality assurance to managers. Coach andmentor other Water Services staff and contribute to the development of the team culture as a senior member of the team. Support the Water ServicesManager by leading council supplier engagements Lead the team's implementation of the Compliance, Monitoring, and Enforcement Strategy We arelooking for someone who Exercisesgood practical judgmentandcanproblem solve andthink critically, taking ownership of and solving complex issuesin a collaborative manner. Has 4 – 6 years working in a similar roleor relevant environment. Can applyrisk management principlesina regulatoryenvironment. Hasproven skills undertaking frontline regulatory work at all levels of complexity in a proportionate and consistent manner. Is apositiveteam player, leads by example, and is prepared to provide leadership support to the Water Services manager Can travel from time to time throughout theNorthIslandandparticipatein our on-call roster. Thelikelyappointment range is $113,597 - $126,219 based on skills and experience. The fullsalary rangefor this role is $113,597- $145,152with a mid-point of $126,219.
