General Practitioner Lead

Based in beautiful Whanganui Te Oranganui is a kaupapa Māori organisation who offers a range of health and wellbeing services for whānau in the Whanganui region and surrounding districts.Te Waipuna Health is the General Practice arm with an enrolled population of 4,700 spread across two Practices and is seeking an innovative General Practitioner Lead to join their team. As a low-cost access health centre, we offer a newly refurbished Practice in a supportive and flexible environment.

To provide clinical and professional oversight and positive leadership of the Medical Practitioners. To support the delivery of and commitment to quality, patient outcome focused care working closely with the Manager to develop and deliver efficient and effective care and service delivery.

• Sound clinical and service skills enabling you to fully utilise your experience

• Ability to provide healthcare to a full range of people in our community
\n
• Ideally hold Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
\n
• Highly organised and skilled problem solver, able to operate over multiple areas
\n
• Strong leadership skills, able to mentor, support and motivate a range of clinical services
\n
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how it’s applied within the health sector
