Structured Literacy Support Position

Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.5, Start Date: 10/08/2026, End Date: 11/12/2026 (Board funded position until the end of the year) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English Are you passionate about making a lasting difference in literacy outcomes for children? Tinwald School is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher to join our team in a 0.5 FTTE literacy specialist position. In this role, you will deliver targeted literacy intervention programmes for students requiring additional support. Use of iDeal or Little Learners programmes would be an advantage. We are looking for someone who: is a registered teacher in New Zealand has training or experience in delivering small-group literacy intervention programmes can use assessment data to identify learning needs, monitor progress, and adapt teaching accordingly builds positive, respectful relationships with students, whānau, and colleagues.
