Intermediate teacher, full time, fixed term Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 12/10/2026, End Date: 15/12/2026 (Term 4 position. Potential to roll over 2027) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Mathematics and statistics Tauranga Intermediate School has a r oll of 1230. Due to one of our current staff members winning a teaching position at a foundation school in the South Island, we are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic teacher to add value to our kura. This role commences in Term 4, 2026, with the potential to roll over into a permanent position in 2027. Up-to-date knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum: Te Mātaiaho is essential. Kimihia kia taea – Explore and achieve is our core business. The successful applicant will be committed to knowing and caring for each of their students, providing engaging, high-quality learning experiences for modern emerging adolescents that allow them to explore and achieve their personal potential. TIS focuses on best teaching practices; therefore, a commitment to continually upskilling and improving as a teacher is essential. Strengths in Mathematics and English content knowledge, alongside Formative Assessment and PC4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning), would be an advantage.
