Key leadership role based at Rimutaka Prison Make a key difference for the men we manage and their prospects post release Approx. 4 month secondment opportunity Kōtahi anō te kaupapa, ko te oranga o te iwi There is only one purpose to our work: the wellness and wellbeing of people. Mō te tūnga About the role Based at Rimutaka Prison, this position is site-based and is there to support the rehabilitative needs of prisoners. This includes the delivery of programmes and education and skills to support the men into employment to support their reintegration into the community post-release. Our incumbent manager is off to take up a secondment and to support the team we are seeking to backfill with a leader into the role for approximately 4 months. This is a co-management style space with two LIDM in place, due to the large scale nature and complex scope of this custodial environment. There are approximately 5 direct reports with additional contractor resource from time to time to meet the learning and outcome demands for the men. Mōu About you First and foremost, we are looking for someone with a passion for leading and supporting people. An understanding of education-based programmes would be beneficial, however we are equally interested in candidates who are keen to develop their knowledge in this area and who can demonstrate strong people leadership capability and potential. This secondment would be well suited to someone looking to further develop their leadership capability and gain experience operating at a more strategic level, while being supported to grow into the role. Ngā painga The benefits The salary applicable for this role is Salary Scale B1 of the Frontline Managers Collective. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role and as per the terms of the collective agreement.
